There are certain when we need to get some extra cash for sudden problems such as paying hospital bills, car trouble, taxes etc. but mostly the money that we earn is already fixed for other things, we are unable to pay for all the sudden expenses. At times of sudden monetary crisis, sometimes we also need to sell a car to get pass all these problems.

It is obvious that it is best to sell a car which is sitting in the garage and not using it at times of money problem rather than going for a loan. You will have to pay the loan back in installments in all the coming months.

In order to sell a car you will have to think like a buyer only. You have to think what will you want in a used car that you are buying. First thing can be evaluating the car. This will give you the idea about the asking price so that you make some profit after selling the car.

Second thing is how you want to sell the car. You can either sell the car yourself or through a car agent. While selling the car yourself, you can start with advertising it. It can be advertised in the local newspapers. Put out flyer regarding the sale of your car in the nearby restaurants, coffee shops etc. You have to spread the news in the places where people gather more often. Spread the news to your friends and neighbors yourself. In your advertisement, mention the details of the car like the model, color, year of purchase, number of kilometers etc. Add your contact no. and email id too. Do not forget to add few photos of the car. This is a must in every advertisement. Another way of advertising is using the internet. Advertising online is free of cost. And you also save all the money you spend on advertising in newspapers and printing flyers.

If you want to sell the car using a car agent then you will have to go through any trouble. You will to sign some papers with the agent. He will sell the car in a month or two. He will get a good deal. But you will have to pay a certain amount as the commission fee to the car agent.

Next is entertaining the people who come to see the car. Do not entertain everyone who comes. I am sure that no one has the time to entertain everyone. Allow test drives for only the ones who are really willing to buy the car. You should be open to negotiations too. Follow the legal process while selling the car. Remember to sign papers of selling the car. Also mention the transfer the title of the car.
