- Go to a mechanic and get your car check thoroughly. Make sure that you trust the mechanic and on his decision. Check for the major repairs to be done. If it does not cost you alot, then you should do it. A little expenditure on your car will make you increase your asking price.
- When you are selling a car privately, you will have to advertise your car. You can post advertisements in the local classifieds, local radio station etc. you can also put out flyers in the local coffee houses and restaurants. You can also post ads on the internet too. There are several website where online auctions are also held. You will have to mention the year of purchase, the car model, car mileage, condition etc in the advertisement.
